the hell does Netahoy mean? |
Netahoy
came into exsistance in year 1995-96 when I was in search of a unique
identity on the big big world of Internet. Unable to find one I coined
my own to define my style. The term was added in the INOMY glossary
in 1999. Now also accessable at GOOGLISM
Netahoy
(Proun. ‘Net-ahoy’)
A virtual counterpart of the term Land Ahoy! The the original
term was used by sailors as a signal that a ship was approaching
land. NetAhoy is used by newbie net users as a term used to
express their joy at an increasing familiarity with the Internet
or by netizens going 'online'.
